This is a fair criticism.  Tyrion is a complex character and not as easily likable than the show makes him.  I think they realize TV fans adore him and need something to cling to in this dark world.  He was craven and left wedding news to Snasa for Cersei.  Don't forget Sansa humiiliated him at the wedding refusing to knell.  People can act in negative ways which are udnerstandable based on their surroundings and circumstances.  I think his story will be very interesting next season given some alterations to character as...well, cannot say much more.

Repented? He never felt sorry for being the Kingslayer, NOR SHOULD HE. That was one of the only good things he's done.

And yes, tossing a kid out a window is pretty unforgivable... But his story seems to be one of redemption... He began as cavalier and callous, and starting with his time with Brienne, he actually starts growing a conscience.

He should not feel sorry in our world... but in their world he broke an oath that made people hate him. hence the whole bathtub scene. He hated to be the Kingslayer. Thats what made him "more human" in the show.

He hates the way people view him, but not the act of killing Aerys.

I hear you. I didn't think anything in entertainment, ever, could be as distasteful as Ned Stark dying - until the Red Wedding. I've been dreading this episode for a while. and worse, they even killed his bride, who survived in the books...

lady Stark was too good as a character and as an actor to die :(

anyone know if this is the original plot of the series, or if they had to die because they didn't come an agreement on season 4 or smth?
remember this happening with other series...

Prior to the big moment on last week's episode I said "Wow, this episode is pretty boring. Nothing is happening." 45 seconds later I was in awe. I didn't know what to think our say.
I've always had a theory that Arya going to end up a ruthless warrior princess type and after this episode my belief has been heightened. She's pretty much seen it all when it comes to cruelty toward her family.

I'm just surprised that so many people like Catelyn after watching the show. I think she is almost universally considered one of the least likeable and dullest main characters in the books, after perhaps Brienne.

And book Cat fans have been crying foul on her show depiction, so very interesting who people gravitate towards.

I was fine with Brienne, her interactions with Jaime were a joy to read, and watch for as well.
