A) not every vita owner has a ps3. there are a few in the vita thread in this situation. some people just prefer handhelds.
B) vita version $20 cheaper so if you don't want both versions then why not save a few bucks.
Those Wii U numbers don't look encouraging :(

I think it will be less since not every country has those deals USA has and don't forget that we seem to overtrack Halo 4 here at least for UK. Media Control released the Halo 4 numbers of one of the last weeks and it was overtracked here by 15% or something and the weeks after have been also overtracked. Could be the same for whole Europe then.

USA only, Wii U passed Wii.
Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
While most sales are good (not great, didn't we had times that some devices sold 1 million in a week in december?), there are some points noticable:
* XBOX360 own america - incredible. If the device could sell in other region half as good, it would reach the million without a sweat.
* PS Vita is worrying. It can't reach the numbers of the DS, no chance for reaching the sales of the Wii. Sony can't be happy with this performance, beaten by devices with successors on the market.
* While WiiU-sales are OKish (not good) in most regions, they are horrible in Europe. What is wrong here? Europeans have bought the Wii, so there is no special hate against Nintendo-products I'm aware of. Beaten by the Wii, on the same level as DS and Vita in that region. As Sony with Vita-sales, same here, Nintendo can't be happy with the performance of it's console in Europe.

lol.
but in general i have to agree with you. i got the ps3 version. there or some ps3 vita cross games that i feel are really vita games ported to the ps3 (sounds shapes, retro city rampage) but PSASBR isn't one of them. that feels "right" on the ps3.

It'll still sell over 500k WW this week. Last week it sold 185k in non-US countries. If it sells that this week that'll put it at over 510k WW this week. However, sales should increase in non-US territories to at least 200k, which will put Halo 4 at 524,333+ copies WW this week.
My prediction threads:
Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)
PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)
Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right
