Never said it wouldn't sell well on ts own, but 30 million? Plus there's quite a bit more DS' than Wiis out in the wild. It is at 30 million? I can't see the OP in this reply bubble.

What about the fact that MK on the DS sold 22m? It's not that much of a shock considering the vast popularity of the series and the number of DSes sold imply that more people own a DS than a Wii... So...
It got those sales because, by far, it's the best online game the Wii has to offer. Mario Kart DS brought online to the table, but Mario Kart Wii perfected it and was very accessible.
