Nintendo might delay it if they don't have the Wii's to sell along with the game

No matter when they release it, Wiis will sell out. They wouldnt do that. People are just overreacting.

Someone bringing truth into this topic... A delay is very possible if they want to be sure to have decent supply in Japan for the launch there as well as a decent amount of supply for America. I hope to all hell this is not true, but I mean, it IS possible.

This was just GameFly and GameCrazy changing dates.

A) GameFly might actually delay it a month in order to stock up for massive rentals...as they're just a rental service, not a store.

B) GameCrazy might have followed suit, because they're dumb.

Anyway, even if it is true, it had BETTER NOT be the end of March, that's waaaay too long after the Japan launch to make sense or to keep us from going crazy across the sea.

Early March? I could cope...but I don't really believe it'll happen. A week or two at most.

Dont kill be but what makes so many people enjoy this game. I played an old SSB a long time ago, and I enjoyed it, but no more than I enjoyed mario kart and not nearly as much as Zelda.

Im not bashing it either. My little bro has a Wii and I might get it for him if I can understand why.

 It's one of the best competitive fighters out there, that's why.  You don't have to like it...there's plenty of people that don't like Street Fighter and Tekken and such...

But Smash Bros has a simple control scheme...so noobs can pick it up and play...but you can get better at the game and master it, and it's still fun.

It just hit me. GameCrazy's practically going bankrupt.

Isn't it possible that they're just throwing a delayed date out to get their name out there more? No such thing as bad press?

Doesn't seem likely, but it does seem like something a dying company might try.

I'd be furious if I was a Nintendo owner in Europe. I looked at some of the release dates for upcoming games/recently released games and it's literally months late in some cases.

Yuck.


Probably feels the same as being a PS3 or 360 owner in Europe. They get the same treatment (ridiculously later release dates).  Hell, Europe will be lucky to get FFXIII before 2010.
