Shigeru Miyamoto has confessed that he is working hard and feeling the pressure to create a new IP for Nintendo. He said he wants to find the next big Nintendo hit. This is what he has said:

“I am spending more time than before on finding new ideas for new developments rather than focusing my energy on work in my (development) teams in order to solidify the contents of (existing) franchise titles. After all, developing big hit titles must be the solution [to Nintendo’s ongoing financial losses].”
“I am acting with the understanding that one big hit title can change multiple phases of a situation in the entertainment business, and I feel that finding such one big hit is my basic job.”

Any ideas or thoughts on want you want? Which console do you want it on? Think hard!

Maybe it will be an FPS? Call me crazy, but Ocarina of Time was originally going to take place from a first-person perspective, until the time travel mechanic changed the game. It's a genre Miyamoto has not worked in before either, so creating a new franchise would be justifiable, as opposed to a new action-adventure game that could just be a Zelda spinoff.
