the console isn't successful at all. check the funny numbers in Japan.
The halo series and American userbase are the pros.

1. Price vs. PS3
2. Profitable (increasing the probability that MS to invest more into it which leads to #3)
3. Exclusives have huge appeal (ME, Lost Odyssey, Fable, Forza, GoW, Halo, L4D, & others)
4. Focus on gameplay > graphics (yes frame rates do matter to many of us)
5. Online social aspects
6. Management & Customer Service
7. 3rd party support
8. Head start


What advertising are you people talking about? Ive some game specific ads for Halo and such but it was definitely not a huge push. In comparison, Uncharted 2 seemed to have have more air time than all the 360 combined.

yep, it has some good games.

Not sure if I can think of TEN, but here's five.

1) Price advantage
2) Year head-start
3) Advertising
4) Exclusive lineup
5) XBOX Live

It may not have sold the most, but it was very profitable for Nintendo.  I bet I could give you ten reasons why the 'Cube was very successful.  But since it's off topic, I'll refrain.

Matter of fact, make a PS3 list and I'll give you ten reasons why that console is successful too (I already did the Wii).
