Looks at pre-orders, in US it's 150k  on both consoles. Pre-orders may sky-rocket near release, but, anything under 500k would be fail to me. Anything under Mass Effect 2 will be fail as well.

Advertising hasn't really kicked in for it yet.

Wait for the ad's to start pumping out, special editions to be announced... And you will see an increase in preorders.

Anyway, PS3 preorder numbers are very good. Over 100k already...

The PS3 version is tracking above Mass Effect 2 in the same timeframe (when mass effect 2 was 8 weeks from launch, it had 99K pre-orders or something like that)

FF is far more popular so it WILL get a bigger boost closer to launch through huge marketing campaigns.

PS3 version could launch to 600K, with 360 version at around 300K = 900K total for the NA region alone

Remember that its till two months away from launch. The numbers will increase by a whole lot before then.

It could do 500k on the PS3 alone... and it will probably do ~ 300k on the 360... so no, it will fly past a million in matter of days in the US alone, and in the west games arent as frontloaded as in Japan, so it will have better legs

The preorder sales will definitely increase in the next two months or so. If the first week sales of FFXIII is somewhere between 500-600k on both consoles, that will be quite a disappointment
