Disgusting isn't it?

No wonder the "casuals" are slowly becoming the focus. They all buy the games they're interested in!!

edit: Sorry, clicked on create poll instead of thread.

1 New Super Mario Bros. (1,150,000) (Nov. 2009)
2 Punch-Out!! (950,000) (May. 2009)
3 Wii Sports Resort (920,000) (July. 2009)
4 The House of the Dead: Overkill (860,000) (Feb. 2009)
5 Mario Power Tennis (830,000) (Mar. 2009)

Forget that look at punch out! Damn it all! Piracy has become a real issue lately.

Thanks, I needed to know that.

What I find interesting is that New Super Mario Bros is the most downloaded game and yet it sell a ton

That is because it is Mario. :D

The PC market is even worse:

1 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (4,100,000) (Nov. 2009)
2 The Sims 3 (3,200,000) (June. 2009)
3 Prototype (2,350,000) (June. 2009)
4 Need For Speed Shift (2,100,000) (Sept. 2009)
5 Street Fighter IV (1,850,000) (July. 2009)

Now that's crazy

No wonder they said FU to PC gamers. (the reason I made this statement is because I expect COD4 to be around the same)

I doubt that most of those downloads would translate to actual sales, but yes, piracy does hurt the sales of games.

Even if 10% would have bought the game, that is a lot of money.

I buy the games that I want, and HOTD:OK was not one of them.  Having said that, yes, they need to put an end to piracy.  Stupid pirates are causing my PC to become infected with DRM.

How the hell do you download Wii games and play them on your system?

The process has got to be too confusing to be worth it. My time is actually worth something. 7.40/hr
