Play uncharted first, its the shortest game to finish and very enjoyable to boot. Follow that up with VC, it will take around 30hrs for your first playthrough and will be satisfying and rewarding both in story and gameplay. Finish it off with Demon Soul, I have not played it personally, no Pal release :(. But from word of mouth it should take the longest to play, has the biggest learning curve and cause you to curse at your screen many a time.

I definitely agree with this statement here. VC took me around 30 or so hours and my Uncharted 2 rental took me around 10. Demon's Souls however took me around 100 hours even if most of that was just me enjoying my time farming for shards and stuff to make myself some better weapons.

I also had point where I wanted to throw my controller across the room but instead put the game down and left it for a day or so. Even with that Demon's Souls is still probably my favorite title this generation. When I finally finished off 5-2 and the BP along with it I had such an unbelievable feeling of accomplishment. No other game has done that for me this generation, none at all.

Squilliam: My son is loving Folklore, he is 11. I don't know if that should encourage or discourage you. I've liked what I've been able to play of it so far but I haven't had much time or gone very far.

Did you manage to get Folklore new used? I was looking for it new or used in every game store in downtown Wellington and couldn't find it for weeks, so I gave up. Then I happened to wander through JB Hi-Fi (as you do) and spotted it in the used section purely by accident.

I think Ratchet would be more pure fun than Demon's Souls, but Demon's Souls would be a more fulfilling and satisfying game with a real sense of achievement.

It doesn't make you better. But you are special.

Play Uncharted 2 first, it's the shortest and least strategic. Still an awesome game but you should just get it out of the way first. After that, it's your move but if you wanna experience alot of the alone related parts of Demon's Souls, you could go for that first. I also think Demon's Souls requires more time than VC so it's really up to you. I think I would go for VC before DS but... i'm not
