Not really, the sales the Wii HD would receive would still be 3:1 compares to PSP2 :D

I'm looking forward to a PSP of the PS3's quality.

Not a chance, as Wii HD would be more expensive due to HD, not have the software, because as we've seen Wii is mostly supported by Nintendo, and Nintendo titles take time to develop, and it would split the market because Wii is so young, current Wii owners would not want to upgrade, resulting in lost sales, which would be really stupid considering how well Wii is selling, basically it would be a debacle for Nintendo.

PSP2 on the other hand makes more sense, as the PSP has neared its life expectancy, and people are ready for a new version, and sales of the current PSP are falling off a lot, PSP 2 can also be built at a price comparable to the old one.

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

another psp (sigh)

PS2 will be announced in 2012, with a 2013 release

prepare yourself for that

& don't give empty threats!

Considering that PS3 was announced in 2005, one E3 after PSP's launch, the PS4 will likely be announced at E3 2011 and launched in 2012

The wand and NATAl will be mediocre, and so 2012 is when they'll move to the next gen

mediocre as in better, right?

  Mediocre as in weak sales

Natal will be a hit, the Wand however, good luck to Sony.

Actually, even though I think Natal will be a better product, Sony will have much less trouble putting it in the market. There are millions of Sony zombies that buy whatever Sony churns out first day, especially here in Europe. They probably hate the Wii's guts too, yet they'll embrace The Wand.

PS: Don't get me wrong, Nintendo fans are about the same, if not worse.

PSP is already five years old so in that regard it makes sense... Still I doubt that they release PSP2 next year because Go was released so recently. Fall 2011 sounds more reasonable.

If the Go costs $250... the PSP2 will probably cost more than the PS3 at launch.

If Kaz comes out at E3 and announces a PSP2 at only $399 US Dollars, I think Sony fans heads will explode.

I swear to god if the PS4 is even announced before 2013, I am going to leave sony for good. Hopefully they aren't that stupid =D

Ahah! Got you!

When you break this promise, I am going to remind you of it and demand that you put 'I heartily endorse everything that Scottie says' in your signature for 1 year and 1 day.

On topic - seems about right, the PSP launched in 2005. 5 years between releases is a fairly lengthy time, considering all the reasons Sony could have for wanting a new generation.
