Whatever happens the 360 will always have the advantage in the all important US market.

Doesn't have the advantage right now, but its likely it will with the MWF2 bundle, and JAPAN is the biggest player for ps3.

Just like in 2006, 2007, 2008 and  now 2009. Wait for next year and PS3 may be in front of the XBox 360. Current 7 million gap will reduce to maybe 5.5 million by end of the year. Mid 2010 it may drop to 4.5 million.  The gap would increase again due to the 360 price cuts around September 2010. De ja vu'.

If there is no price cut this year, the gap wont be 5.5 million, again underestimating, just like the slim launch

Can someone just post a link to the original "when will PS3 overtake 360" thread.... or perhaps the one where a hell of a lot of PS3 fans ridiculed the very notion of the 360 getting anywhere near 50m. I guess one day one of these threads might be right... then again.. probably not.
