And people said Wii sales would somehow decline despite just getting a price drop and being on the heels of Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit+...
Gonna be a huge Christmas for Nintendo between NSMB Wii and no more limited Wii availability.
PS3 sales on the rise.
What!?! You say, Sales are down on last week!
Ahh yes, but Uncharted 4 was responsible for 40 - 50K of last week's hardware. Were it not for Uncharted PS3 sales for that week could well have gone below 200K.
So taking the Uncharted 2 artefact out of the charts, WE 25 Oct is the beginning of the end of year rise for PS3. Wii's end of year rise started early with its price cut nicely dovetailing into the normal end of year increases.
I thought a $50 cut on an already low priced console would have very little effect. But I was wrong. Now I'm wondering how much Wii will eat into the traditional end of year 360 Arcade sales, unless Arcade drops by $50 in the next month or so.
360's rise has also started, but not in quite so dramatic fashion.
Surprising to me is that 360 2009 is substantially lower than PS3 2008 for this week (and the last few weeks?).

It's amazing how people will buy a console for a game that is 4+ years away.
