It´s true, that N64 has some gems, but it doesn´t matter. PS1 has many, many great games too.

OP, add me to the list. But you really should add Xenogears, Legend of Dragoon and Vagrant Story.

You should've added more games to the list, though. Tekken 3? Final Fantasy VIII? SoulBlade? Vagrant Story? Ape Escape? PaRappa the Rapper? Castlevania: Symphony of the Night?

PS1 destroys N64 easy. It's easily the worst Nintendo console too.

Hard one. I didn't own a PS1 at that time so back then it was N64 all the way.
Well, PS1 had the RPG's:

Xenogears
Chrono Cross
Final Fantasy IX
Parasite Eve
Valkyrie Profile

PS1 gets a huge minus for messing with some of my all time favourites:
FFVI
FFIV
Chrono Trigger
Tales of Phantasia

N64 had an epic lack of RPG's. On the other hand it was a dreamland for platform lovers with games such as:
Super Mario 64
Banjo Kazooie
Donkey Kong 64

It also had great shooters:
Turok 2
Golden Eye
Perfect Dark

And is also had 2 Zelda games.

For me it's a tie, though I say N64 has aged better than PS1.
