yep, but I was talking about software sales in general and even though they have about the same install base, multiplat games (almost) always sell better on the PS3.

Thats complete bull. I am guessing in the OTHERs sales a significant amount of 360s are modded. Considering in North America many ppl have modded 360s. Plus with higher cost of games and the system in Europe I expect sales of 360 games are effected. Look at the PSP. It shows Europeans heavily pirate games.

Not really, no. Piracy exists on 360, but it's nowhere near as commonplace as with the PS2, or the PSP.

yep, but I was talking about software sales in general and even though they have about the same install base, multiplat games (almost) always sell better on the PS3.

That's true, and it's quite peculiar. Piracy could be a factor in that, but I don't think it's a large one. Again (anecdotal evidence here), I don't know anyone with a modded 360, and quite a few of my PS2-owning friends had theirs modded (myself included, but this was mostly for playing NTSC games)

Anyway this was expected. Well I would have thought Wii version would be ahead of PS2 and PSP, but PS3 > 360 was expected

My impression is that multiplat games sell ~60/40 in favour of PS3 in "Others" depending on the game genre mostly I think. That's 60% of multiplat games sell better on PS3 than 360, not that multiplat games get 60% of sales on PS3.

Fifa 10 should do better on 360 in the States but the US is only about 30% the size of the Others market. Though with PS3 HW sales above 360 in USA right now it might be close.
