Forums - Sony - IGN : PSP Go! REVIEW --- 7.2/10 (VALUE = questionable!)!!

Oh for fuck's sake this is getting old...

Darth, you don't like the PSPGo. WE GET IT!!

Anyone that doesn't like the PSPGo won't buy one. If not enough people are interested, the device won't sell so hot. SONY will know they fucked. Do you lose anything???? Does this affect you??? If you own/want/prefer a 3000... I don't see the fuckin' problem...

It doesnt matter.....the psp is still far too expensive that even using the word "expensive" is an understatement.

No UMD,worser feel than the psp 2000-3000, absolutely no improvements inside(except bluetooth)....all for the jacked up price of $250....

Yes but if price turns out to be the main problem that can be rectified very quickly and very easily assuming the Go isn't costing Sony a lot more than the 3000 model to make (which given its specifications I doubt it is). Regardless of its current obscene price there will be early adapters who still buy it, especially with the holidays coming up, allowing Sony to make a strong early profit before lowering the price if need be. We all know how expensive the PS3 was at launch and yet it was still one of the fastest selling consoles.

PSPgo is not getting a price cut , and even if it does it wont be a significant one.....retailers make very little on consoles/handhelds and get most of their money from the softwarei.e games....pspgo has no games in the retail market and as such has to have a higher than average price for a handheld to keep retailers interested in keeping it on their shelves.

Sony fucked up on this one.

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

It will bomb hard.

For gaming people should just search for that extra £10 and buy a PS3.

If they want portable gaming get the 3000.

How the **** will it succeed? Sorry Sony but you have full on bullshited this one up.

EDIT: If the price was £170 they could be in good buisness.

They make a good profit margin off anyone willing to pay the launch price and then sometime next year announce a price cut to appeal to the mass market.

Its good it makes them money, but I'm not a shareholder in SONY

I sold my PSP for a DS thinking I'll get a PSP GO!

but now I'll probably never buya PSP till FF agito 13.

I'm personally holding out until probably around November. I'm almost positive that Sony are going to release a holiday bundle with the Go! in it...Hopefully not of a higher price though...

ahahahaha!

stop dreaming axumblade :(

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

We now welcome the first official screw up of the Generation a la Game Boy Micro.

This is the true definition of owning.

its not even fair to release a 250$ PSPgo with a 299$ PS3.

but its fair to release a $169.99 DSI with a $199 wii..

the value in the PSP is greater than its selling for, same goes for the PSP GO

What the hell happened to all the "Digital Distribution is the future" talk? I guess Sony made the mistake of listening to those people, because now they whine about not having the UMD drive, which I remember people whining about it using UMDs.

Oh well, I still love my -1000s. Both of them.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

So you think that if the Go isn't selling well next year Sony will abandon all the research and marketing put into it rather than settle for a reduced profit margin? We don't know how much margin retailers are making on it but according to a lot of early reports it isn't much and so the price point is purely up to Sony. Considering how much more expensive it is than the 3000 do you think all that extra margin is going to the retailers? I suspect Sony is using this launch to try and make a decent profit for a change.

its the same price as a PS3 in the UK... it will bomb over here.. in a very big way.

It's 30 pounds cheaper.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
