Chop Till You Drop is really underrated (basically because some just couldn't get it through their heads that this wasn't actually a port, and just bashed it for not being something it wasn't supposed to be in the first place), but 180,000 gamers other than me are hopefully are excited for him being in this.

but it was actually a port ?

its the same game with some features removed.

You are so wrong, it's clear you haven't played it. If it was the same game, the control would be the same. It's been clear for a year it wouldn't be. Same with how the game is completed, and how the enemies were changed (new enemies, and slightly more complex AI, even if like the first game they are still inactive until they get triggered).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

so by your logic.

RE4 Wii isn't the Same as RE4 cause of the controls ?

i have played Chop till you drop first actually then tried the one on 360. its the same. only alot of features were removed and the number on screen zombies were dumbed down.

"RE4 Wii isn't the Same as RE4 cause of the controls ?"

I meant gameplay. Mistake. The controls of RE4 are largely the same. It cannot be said with Dead Rising.

Bull. If it was the same, CTYD would have the same six hour game, unless you did overtime, and you'd have to choose between saving survivors, completing the story mode, fighting as many zombies as you can, or just running around until the helicopter picked you up.

Did you actually notice you couldn't play DR and CTYD like each other? You can't. If it was a port, you could. You can't so it's not a port.

Great find, I'm really like how they translated Frank's moves into TvC. Good stuff. I'm gonna have track down a Hori Arcade Stick for Wii before this comes out. If you wait, the prices are going to inflate.

Anyone know if it's GC controller compatible?

Yeah, they seem to have done a surprisingly good job fitting him into a fighter.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I don't like the voicce actor they gave him... doesn't sound like him at all.

Otherwise he looks great!

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

i saw that on kotaku, and now i want this game so bad...... man it rocked when he put the serve bot head on dude, then threw him into zombies.... and the shopping cart FTW

Ive got to say hes right man zombies on chop till ya drop not nearly as smart as on the original.... granted the modeling seemed to make it less frequent that the female zombies looked like they were eating my crotch. not the same story arch execution, and i felt that was detrimental to the game, the one save dont fuck it up was a large part of the game stress ....

id still call it a port a mutilated port, one revised to meet a perceived different audience and deal with limitations of the budget for doing so. ill never claim to play both in the same day cause i havent, but the wii port removed a good chunck of heart and soul from the game, parts that made it special.

on the flip side at least it was not a rail shooter

A lot of those "heart and soul" things were part of the complaints of the game UNTIL Chop Till You Drop came around. Now one save slot is "suddenly" important to the "stress" of the game (a game where you can throw CDs and shoot NERF balls at enemies). So I don't buy it. It just seems like an excuse to bash on that game.

It's not a mutilated port. "Mutilated" means the game wouldn't even be recognizable if it really was. And don't give me that "I'd still call it" crap. Ports are not up to personal definitions.

And the zombies are not dumber. You got that backwards. The zombies were given simplistic AI in the original DR to allow the number to be so high. This game uses smarter enemies, although only slightly smarter.

Sure some of this seems like nitpicking, but the game is unjustly bashed because of the belief it's supposed to be something it wasn't meant to be. As in gamers decided what Capcom was doing with the game and judged it on that, not what was actually done.

As for this game, is there GC controller support?
