ahh.....prediction time!

Uncharted 2 will not do over 1.2 Million this year!

Remember PRE-ORDERS will be high as the fanbase is there......but this also means the game will be "front loaded".

Alright, fine, I'll predict. If anyone asks me for logic, I will scream. Four times is enough. Fine, I'll give a sentence.

First week: 600-700k. A little below. It has less hype, I suppose, and it's not an FPS, it's in a far less popular genre. But it also has the holiday on its side. This also means inferior legs to Uncharted in the first 10 weeks.

End of 2009: 1.3-1.7 million. I don't think it will get to 2 million, but it might come reasonably close.

I can see it doing 1.5 million.

The majority of the people who played Uncharted love it, so they'll be more inclined to buy U2. Plus, U2 is just a better game in every aspect anyway (jury is out on the SP but judging by reviews it's great). Bundles will also help push an extra (x amount).

Stop being pessimistic, Darth, it doesn't suit you.

I over-estimated R&C:TOD (by 600K), Uncharted 1 (by 1.5 Million), Killzone 2 (by 1.5 Million), Resistance 2 (by 1 million), Motorstorm:PR (by 2.5 million) & LBP (by 2 million) in sales.

So far my record in estimating sales of PS3 first party titles not called GT (I under-estimated GT5:P by 2 million) is poor.

So I'll go pessimistic on this & see what happens.

Atleast I get to pull the "OMG UNCHARTEd 2 SALES HAVE  SURPASSED ALL EXPECTATIONS" thread all in caps, ofcourse 8 months in the future!

The first Uncharted game took 2 years for it to past 2 million copies. However, I see this game having twice as stronger legs than the first game during the4 first 10 weeks of its release. I see the game selling at least 500k first week WW and then the next couple of weeks, its sales will be 200-300k. Uncharted 2 will probably sell 2 million copies before 2010 because the game's release is near the holiday season. WIth this probably being Sony's best holiday season, its possible that the game will get passed 2 million copies by the end of 2009.

there is definatly a chance...but only a little...that game need the bundles...but now Uncharted is very well known + are highly anticipated + get some reaaaal good feedback from all the magazines and lets see if sony will do commercials for it than it could be really possible...but i just wanna lay back and wait till the first week...its not that far away guys!

so lets say 800k 1st week then i think it would be fair to say around 1m b4 oct ends scince therell be 2 weeks after the 800k in oct

thats 1mill only in oct we still have nov and dec left around 8-9 weeks

that would mean all it would have to do is a little over a 100k ww a week to reach 2 mill b4 2010 starts factor in black friday and christmas sales = very possible and if the bundles are there likely to happen

now with that data i think any1 saying under 1.5mill b4 09 is up will be eating some serious crow

A high meter to reach. But if it could do that, then I'll be flabbergasted.
