Number 10 was the most laughable piece of nostalgia filled delusion ever:
"A look at the best-selling games of 1998 - an equivalent length of time into the generation of the day as we find ourselves at now - is terrifying. Look at the titles that came out that year: Grim Fandango, Resident Evil 2, Half-Life, Gran Turismo, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Metal Gear Solid. Has there been a game released this generation that is better, or more epoch-defining, than a single one of those games released in that one year?"
Super Mario Galaxy is at least one game, even if we're to assume that all older games are infinitely better for no real reason. Then you have absolutely incredible games like Bioshock, LittleBigPlanet, Twilight Princess, Grand Theft Auto IV, Half Life 2 (released in 2004, could be considered a current gen game), Call of Duty 4, and Rock Band 1/2. These games are all incredibly fun today, just like the games of 1998 were incredibly fun a decade ago. And in the end, that's all that matters. I don't live in the past, and this article shouldn't convince anyone here to do that either.
Otherwise, a decent article. #1 really made me nod in agreement. I pretty much never preorder games, and I want to play as Sgt. Johnson too.
