Ok so the PS3 slim launched with a pricedrop and it was a splash. 360 also got a pricedrop and is getting good increases. Now Wii weekly sales are being closed at, and the holidays are not gonna be as dominnant for Nintendo as the past 2 yrs have been. Wii is doomed right?
I beg to differ. Hey i'm a bit worried too, and maybe they're taking too much time to respond, but isn't that just typical Nintendo, acting all cool like nothing happened, never panicking? So this is what i think, and what i'm guessing. Just like Sony kept its yearly predictions, Nintendo has done so too, despite decreasing annual sales, and by a huge margin also! Sony had the slim up its sleeve, and i bet you Nintendo has so too. It's just too naiive to think the games could be the saviour for Nintendo and actually make up ground from last year's holidays numbers! I just dont see it.
What do i think Nintendo have been doing then? I think they didn't panic instantly, looked at the competition, studied their moves and there effects, and monitored sony's slim launch very carefully. Now what? Now they move, i think by october we will see something big from Nintendo announced, a pricedrop to say the least. I think they've monitored enough and not being able to satisfy their predictions(and it ain't looking good now) will be a huge blow, they definitly are up to something, and unlike Sony they can keep their secrets more than them. So expect something big to be announced by october, thats my prediction.
Thoughts?
