Why is this shocking? The 2600 proved their could be a home console industry in the first place. The 2600 created the industry, the NES saved it from doom.

I liked the top 5.

1. The list is the top 25 consoles, not 25 most influential consoles. Therefore PS2 is miles ahead of the 2600 because of its huge library of high quality games.

2. I wasn't born for another 14 years after the 2600 launched. So what? I can't change that.

Dont think anybody can complain with number one, although i personally would have had PS2 or SNES there instead.

Eh. I'd go NES of 2600.

The 2600 changed the world in creating videogame systems like the ones we have today... aka videogame systems not computers more focused for gaming but still did other stuff.

But the NES saved that.

Still the 2600 is fun as hell... if you play the right games.

Oh wait.  The NES is number 1.  cool.

Did u know that one of the main features they named for the 360 was that it had wireless controllers? wdf so does the wii and ps3.
