SoR 1 or 2 I wouldn't recommend through the Wiimote. It works absolutely fine but it's the placement of the A button being right next to the D-Pad that makes pulling special moves a little awkward. It's like you gotta stretch your thumb over the D-Pad to reach the button. Best on the classic controller.

So far I've got Zelda 2: Adventures of Link and Super Mario 2: The lost levels.

I was going to get Sin and Punishment before realizing that I don't have a VC classic or gamecube controller.

Hey here's a question, which one should I get?

Classic controller is the best option for most of the VC games. But, you need a GC controller for all that Viewtiful Joe and Metroid Prime and Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker action dontcha?

For gamecube games yes, for Virtual Console games only, no, and is the Classic Controller really the best option.

I'll check later what games I've purchased and make a list up here ;) A few of them haven't released in the West..... yet.

Might try it out but it certainly is awkward. Thanks for the info MrMarc!

Like you all say, the classic controller seems the best for VC needs.

Nice list. 9 of the 10 vc games I have purchased are in your list.

Cool! Was the one that wasn't one that you would recommend?

Yes. Gradius. That game is hard and addictive.

Gotcha covered Superchunk. Gradius is great, I added it to the list. Thanks also to everyone who has reported their Virtual Console purchases. It's helpful for everyone to see what their fellow VGChartz members have been buying and who to turn to if they have questions about the games. The more people that participate the better the resource and knowledge become. This thread could also be used for people to talk about the games and strategies, upcoming releases, etc. It's all about having fun (and sales numbers).

I pulled this out of another thread. It's:
