Lol umm ok, why do you think Halo 2 and Halo 3 aren't as good as Halo?  the novelty is gone?

Outside of the pistol, I think Halo had the balance perfect. The maps and single player campaign, I think, were better. None of the missions in any of the Halo games were as epic as the third mission (can't remember which exactly) and The Maw.

And I have to say that compeition from other shooters also hurt my enjoyment. It's harder to enjoy something whenever a better shooter comes along.

I just thought it was way over hyped for what it was. The online is full of screming kids and imo Halo 2 was much, much better.

Kinda like how i have hate for GTA4, apart from the screaming kids... the online is just bad on that.

But if you like Halo 2 multiplayer why wouldn't you like Halo 3 multiplayer?  Its the same thing basically.  And if your worried about the screaming kids you can always mute them, also you could play with your friends (which is so much better than playing halo by yourself)

Ok fair enough, Although i think for the most part all the Halo's have kept the balance in weapons and maps that the first one had(sans the ridiculously overpowered Assault Rifle in H3)

I agree that if you've played alot of games that have epic missions, then Halo 3's missions can seem somewhat lackluster.  Who knows maybe Halo: Reach will have an epic campaign (I hope at least!)

Have you played Halo 2 or 3 online?

Highest selling= Tonnes of people played it, sure, high sales don't gaurantee a good game (but it does happen to be a quality game IMO), but i stick to what i said.......................

Most of Halo's haters don't even own a 360.

halo 2 i always thought had much better online than halo 3. those battle rifles just kick so much ass.. but i do think halo 3 has a bit more variety in its online... hmm. i think halo 3 has kind of grown on me over the years. when it first came out, i wasnt used to it and i was like 'ah, halo 2 is better'

same shit happened with smash bros. i like melee better for like a month or two until i actually got used to brawl.

Of course. I played both games online for at least 10 hours each. I spent more time with Halo 2 though.

Ah, yes, Halo haters...without Halo who knows where the console FPS would be? Halo was this first one that REALLY worked with a console.

Yeah i think thats a problem with Halo 3, most people when they first played it weren't used to it so they didn't enjoy it as much and some of them probably stopped playing altogether.  I had a couple of friends that didn't like Halo 3 MP at first, but after they played a hundred mtches or so, they got hooked.

And I agree the Battle Rifle kicks is so awesome, Thats why i try to veto anything that doesn't have BR's in them.  Assault Rifle blows imo, I guess the noobs need something though
