Whats with all the hate on Halo?

Why though?  Each halo has improved upon the last.  The only difference between Halo 2 and Halo 3 multiplayer are the equipement (Its hard to improve something so perfect), and that doesn't make the MP bad.  Or do you hate the Assault Rifle? (i know i do)

Lol umm ok, why do you think Halo 2 and Halo 3 aren't as good as Halo?  the novelty is gone?

Outside of the pistol, I think Halo had the balance perfect. The maps and single player campaign, I think, were better. None of the missions in any of the Halo games were as epic as the third mission (can't remember which exactly) and The Maw.

And I have to say that compeition from other shooters also hurt my enjoyment. It's harder to enjoy something whenever a better shooter comes along.

Ok fair enough, Although i think for the most part all the Halo's have kept the balance in weapons and maps that the first one had(sans the ridiculously overpowered Assault Rifle in H3)

I agree that if you've played alot of games that have epic missions, then Halo 3's missions can seem somewhat lackluster.  Who knows maybe Halo: Reach will have an epic campaign (I hope at least!)

Have you played Halo 2 or 3 online?
