I use rechargeable batteries for everything.

those batteries needs replacement too, and add up cost. ps3 built in and you can play with the USB while charging, no stop remove pack and put charged batteries point. |
Technically all rechargables will eventually need replacing so will the PS3 recharge packs.
Plus you can play the 360 with the USB recharge cable... they're on equal ground... >_>

I'd say my hands are "average." Theyre neither small nor large. But sometimes I'll have to hit the second shoulder button while controling the analogue sticks and find it to be quite challenging. |
Ive got to say your hands be tiny or your doing it wrong. a close friend of mine who is 4'11 (shes a tiny thing...im 6'3 so its funny to see us together) has no problems with the 360 controller... now she cant use the duke, but thats why i own s-types if it was just me, id prefer the duke for even the 360 as it seems a bit small can control the whole thing with one hand

I have skinny fingers and fairly small hands so the ps3 controller fits better in my hand. The analog nub placement is better on the x360 pad, but I find it harder to access the d-pad. I do however think sony could take a page from microsoft and build their controllers so they work consistently. Both my original sixaxis and my ds3 have horribly mushy shoulder triggers.

I love the 360 controller (minus the D-Pad)!
Personally, I think it's the most comfortable standard controller ever made. The triggers are wonderful, the analog stick placement is great, and it's just the right weight. Your battery issues aside (I don't have those problems, but I've also had SIXAXIS battery problems other people haven't had) I think it's one of the better controllers ever made.
The only real drawback is the terrible D-Pad but luckily not many games nowadays need a precise D-Pad so it's not a huge issue except for a handful of games.

the ps3 controller batteries will eventual need replacement about the same length of time a 360 recharge battery would, and i bet its alot easier to swap out the 360s battery pack vs changing the pack in a ps3 controller. granted i know its possible, shouldnt be much harder then swapping an ipod batter but still much harder then swapping a 360s battery. I feel that will either lead to people like game stop offering battery changing for a nominal amount say half the cost of a new controller. or lots of people throwing away controllers once the battery cant hold a charge anymore.... or they could just use a usb cable much like the play/charge cable on the 360

Yeah the controller really is a bag of shite.

I don't know why you're spending $10 on two AA batteries, but you should probably look into this:
And I don't think I've every gotten 60 let alone 20 hours out of any of my controllers so I wouldn't really trust that chart.
