Looks great!

The one issue I've come over is quoting is a bit weird, sometimes wiping out text, and it always makes a HUGE space between the top of the post and the quoted post.

!. Tables are messed up, now. (Probably why quotes are messed up too.)

2. You can't pick the color of tables now which throws out any color-coding you had in mind.

3. The rich text editor isn't showing the pop-up menus anymore.

Old bugs that were in the old Forum.

4. When you finish editing a post (click Post) it loads the first page of the thread instead of the one on which you edited.

Ok - last post for the night, I'm shot.

After reading this thread a few times, here's what I've derived:

1) BIG bug issue with the richtext editor in the forums. That's pretty darn obvious and will definitely be addressed.

2) Many complaints about the color scheme - eh, give it some time, that's all I can say. Believe me, you will not only adjust but you'll appreciate it if you give it time. Some of the colors could probably do for a little tweaking in brightness, but the scheme does work - patience.

3) A number of issues with features that USED to be available, but are now missing (mainly user review access in both the 'index' that doesn't exist and user profiles), but a few other ones here and there (and no, I'm not referring to the 'recent posts' panel on the front page!!!!)

4) Which deserves it's own spot here - the 'recent posts' on the front page

5) Some general performance hits and buggy areas

I think that's a pretty accurate summary of this thread, no? Oh, well of course there are the incredibly helpful 'I hate it' posts, but we'll leave those for another time when I have more sarcasm and humor at my disposal as I'm just too tired to care anymore at this point... :)

Anyway, we're on it, that's all I can say. Believe me, we are on it...

And the resolution issues. Anybody with a lower resolution can't browse the site comfortably. Other than that, yeah, you've got the most common issues summarized. No, not all the issues & suggestions (and definitely not all the good ones, *ahem*), but the most common ones.

Not a fan at all, sorry :(

The home page looks ok but rather cluttered, the rest of the site is a mess (forums, profiles etc), wrong use of colours, slow loading, jumpy when you scroll down and too reliant on Java making your web browser slow down when you have more than one tab open on vgc.

VGC just looks like "another" game site now, I thought vgc 2 was going to be amazing, shame....

I dunno if this was true in the old system, but when hovering over forum, you then have to pull your mouse across, the bottom bar, but if your mouse goes below, then that bar goes empty

No it wasn't true of the old system. I used to be able to move the mouse off and come back. I did it all the time, actually.

Talonman,

I'd add just one point to the summary.

TOO WIDE

Really, too wide is a big problem for me both on the front page and in the forums - not so important anywhere else.

Especially in forums where the only reason its too wide is the 'recent threads' over to the left. So I'm having to scroll right everytime, which makes work and irritation. I like to read all the way through threads, and this slows me right down.

And front page I just want to see everything summarised nicely without having to scroll.

Everything else looks nice and I'll get used to it quickly.

God work though - just sort the width out (maybe customisable?), please?

Edit: just noticed that this affects the submenus as well. If a submenu goes off the edge of my screen, I can't see or select some of the options. Yuck.

I like the widescreen friendly resolution, thanks for the change. It's a nice to not have all that wasted space on each side.

Maybe a low-bandwidth version of the site is in order for those of us with old slow laptops (that moving image thing on the front page owns the crap out of my laptop).

I odn't like the new look, but loads a los faster tham before, and that's definitive.

That's mean I don't care about look, but i love the functional side, and I stay tunned here.

I'm personally not a fan of change, but I can see you've put a lot of hard work into this. I'll probably get used to it eventually and learn to love it. Great work :)
