magnemite evolves into that magnezone and that's epic on team battles.

diglett in the first game turned into dugtrio who was both fast and strong + did earthquake early on.

jynx and the oddish family i will agree  did little for me in terms of fights.  *slaps for insinuating that 50% of them are not amazing*

I love Pokemon as much as the next guy here but to be honest when I can only put 6 pokemon on my team the thought of collecting 493 pokemon is absurd now. That ends up as me collecting 487 pokemon I will not use with a huge chunk of them being conpletely worthless to begin with.

I always enjoyed the first couple of pokemon games better. I loved when it was just 151 (must count Mew) and 251. Once it went beyond that I just stopped trying to collect them all. There was no point.

If you don't like the newer Pokémon, just don't catch them. I think Nintendo has done pretty well to have nearly 500 Pokémon now of which less than half suck IMO.

2010 will be huge by the way. Pokémon HG/SS, Mass Effect 2, Final Fantasy XIII(for US/EU), Dragon Quest IX(if it doesn't come out in US/EU in 2009)...
