As if, Rock* best audience (for its type of games) is the western hardcore front, ala 360

..... this makes no sense.... Do you even know what type of game they're making???
Also, you seem to not understand the word "DEAL"...

OT: If we don't hear about it by the end of the year.... it's dead.

Deal? I can't see Sony throwing around cash tbh.

and whatever game it is, it will apeal to the 360 to as the userbase tastes are essentially the same, except the 360 has a massive lead in the west, and I doubt the game is ment for the east ....

Believe what you will.

I always do

That will be on PSP. And wasn't this meant to be a new IP?

No, but they tried to spin it that way. I doubt they could do anything about the multiplatform release, but this was a way to make people feel better.

This deal wasn't made in 2009.

It was made back in 2007, when Sony were still throwing billions around.

OT: I believe the game may still exist, judging by Jack Trettons remarks after Geoff Keeley questioned him on it after E3 last year.

He just said: "Yeah, it is dissapointing that we still have nothing to show for it."

I see this as an acknowledgement that the deal still exists. He didn't come out and say it didn't exist or that the deal had fallen through.

One reason could be because it took Rockstar longer then expected to get GTAIV out the door.

Although given Rockstar's financial problems, and the current economic climate, I would imagine they would try to weasel their way out of any exclusive contract.

@ Dalinor, R* aren't the ones with the financial problems, Take 2 are. GTA IV had the best launch of any entertainment product ever, though it cost $100m, it probably returned 3x as much

It's not LA Noire since has been announced multi-plat. It's vapour ware so no one talks about it so the game could be one of the big E3 announcement. It was a deal made over GTA IV but not sure why the deal was made since all GTA games have been multi-plat.

Maybe it's because Playstation made GTA huge and it's R* way of saying thank you.......yeah I have no idea.
