Forums - Sony - EA: Army of Two PSP absolutely not a port / the reason why it isn't for DS

THere's an Army of Two game coming to PSP??!?

Nah, it's a big, fat joke!

Not really of course, the PSP is getting an Army of Two

A fine choice =)

psp is star scream :D

That actually makes sense putting it on the PSP. Upstream graphical gamers have a HD console and a PSP, not a HD + DS. I'm sure some do, but the target audience is already their. Much like the idea of VCS and LCS going to the PSP since PS fans would have gone for PSP not a DS.

I'll disagree that Army of Two is target for mature audience though. "M" rated games seem to be more for the grown but mentally kids than actually mature people. Since mature gamers play a broad category of games.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

So only M rate action game is fit to PSP? hmmm....that's the reason why PSP cannot catch up DS sales.

WP: The original was a PS3 and X360 game, and with 40th Day, you're adding the PSP. Is it going to be its own game or a port?

AH: It's going to be in the universe of the main game. It's absolutely not going to be a port. I mean, it's not really even possible, going to the PSP. We want to let that game focus on the strengths of the platform, so it'll be more arcade-y in nature, and it'll be a different experience but in the same sort of world. We're still figuring out a lot of details.

WP: Why the PSP and not the PC or NDS?

AH: It just seems like a natural fit for the specific game as it is and the audience. It's an M-rated game and it's an action game, and that just seems to be a better fit for the PSP.

Hehe someone should post this on Nintendo board and watch how people explode :D

lol. What are you talking about? Look at the post right below yours. It's slowly starting already! If you say it, they will come.

@thekitchensink - It's currently at .52 so I guess if you round it up it would be at a million..

XD I must have been thinking of someone else.  Still, that shows that there's a market, considering that the game was pretty much an afterthought.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Someone should post this on the Sony board and watch the Sony fanboys gloat...

Oh wait :(

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

Damn...with all these games on PSP, I might have to...buy...some games for it. I wonder if I remember how to do that...

I'm not going anywhere near an Army of Two, though, port or not, home console, or portable.

I'm pretty interested.

I like when developers put in the effort!

That's very brave to say something like that considering EA is developer for this :D
