Forums - Gaming - Tales of Vesperia PS3 to have Branching Storylines!!!

Branching is very present in games like Star Ocean... It might be similar to this (as we know SO and Tales series have many similarities).

I think I'll wait for the PS3 version as well... I like extras.

-With the assumption that it might sell in addition to the 360 version, they started the PS3 version.
-They're putting in all the things that were sadly cut due to space limits.
-Depending on the player's actions, the story might branch off, and the characters that join will change?

This is also interesting. Not time or budget, but space.

Why didn't they go on multiple DVDs? If MS doesn't actually ask extra license money for multiple discs, what are the extra costs?

as far as i am aware microsoft push a heavy levy on multiple dvd games.

John Carmack bashed Microsoft for the price of using multiple DVDs at one point, so I don't think it should be considered cheap.

^That was also taken back by an Id producer, saying something on the lines of "MS are not bastards". The issue is a bit foggy, but I think we can assume there's not a "license per disc". Maybe on the other hand there are extra costs, though not a hard multiplier.

Wow, interesting. I PRAY (as an atheist :P ) they bring it to NA!

I have not finished Vesperia yet but with Flynn as a character I wonder how the storyline would work.

With it branching out however and taking a possibly different direction I can see how it makes sense.

Could it mean different ending as well?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!
