Lol I just realized that console sales in millions exactly match % of marketshare, so that means 100 million consoles have been sold so far! Well almost :P

The price was dropped quite a while ago, and it's still making such a difference? Hawt damn.

I am just surprised by how long the effect has been going. I laughed when Microsoft called it the "magic price point", but I'll be damned if it doesn't seem to be right at this point in time.

I suppose you're going to rebute this by saying the systems didn't have great software. (Not calling you out, I'm just noting it to myself)

Ohh the first big price drop that happened to the 360 while SONY has had 2 big price drops already. Thanks. I love how fanboys love to not remember SONY and the PS2. Its like what SONY released a console before?? Whenever ppl say wow the PS3 is selling great for its price ppl don't like to remember how badly SONY crushed the competition before.

 

For instance,

If the ZUNE sold for $400 it would be failure but if the IPOD Nano sold for $400 it would still sell. See why?

this time last year ps3 outsold 360 by 57k units.    £299 vs £169

this time this year 360 outsold ps3 by 6k units       £299 vs £129
