Only count those 2 territories, like people seem to enjoy doing lately.

PS3 RE5 - 0.56M
360 RE5 - 0.66M
PS3 SFIV - 0.62M
360 SFIV - 0.62M

360 has 28.38M consoles between the 2 territories.
PS3 has 18.23M consoles between the 2 territories.

PS3 has the higher attach ratio in regards to those 2 games.

This makes numonex look dumb lol

OT: Let 360 have LP2 while PS3 owners have Onimusha 5 (if Capcom ever plan to make it), I think that would be fair!

BTW any news on Oni5?

Better off having both games multiplatform. Better for the industry.

I am content with Sony's first party offering that I don't worry much for these exclusive 3rd party games. Let everyone play them.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I love Lost Planet, but I don't really care about the exclusivity anymore.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

That's the spirit!

What I would really love is cross-platform online play, but sadly that will never happen.

not a big deal im not too excited bout this personally

Long Live SHIO!

I dont really care for Lost planet, but Capcom would be stupid if they miss out a 30 million instal base and why wouldnt it sell good on ps3 aswell, they just look at Dmc4, Street fghter 4, Resident evil 5 all will be million sellers.

SFIV and RE5 both selling more on PS3 mean it will be stupid decision for Capcom to make LP2 exclusive. Anyway i don't think many people will care.

Exclusivity of Lost planet 2 is likely to be timed exclusive if MS have moneyhatted the game. Moneyhat is usually more money to developer than missing out on some extra game sales.  No momneyhat the game will be multi-platform and released at the same time - extra game sales maybe sell better on PS3 Capcom games sell better on PS3 and break the XBox 360 dominance in regards to most other games sales.

1. SFIV and RE5 have so far have sold a few thousand extra units is not much more. I woul say it is a tie between X360 and PS3 in regards to sales of those two games. 2. The sales of RE5 can well and truly favour X360 - only two days of RE5 sales have be recorded for Europe and NA.

Recently X360 has better  had attach rates regarding new game sales to new console sales.

@Bolded #1

SFIV 360 - 0.67M

SFIV PS3 - 0.74M

RE5 360 - 0.75M

RE5 PS3 - 0.94M

Only a "few thousand" more? What is with yesterday and today? Japan just doesn't count anymore?

@Bolded #2

Yeah, especially when you cherry pick your comparison.

Two days only of data for RE5 sales in NA and Europe  and you already claiming its a win for PS3. By the way its ironic PS3 is getting hammered in total  console sales and you like to hang onto any slight morlae boosting win.

X360 gap over PS3 is 8.15 million and is growing and growing by every week

The numbers by end of first month will show RE5 will be in front on X360 than PS3. Attach rates regarding consoles sold with game for the week the two games released is what I meant. Not the BS about installbase and game sales.

numenox 30k isnt hammered. hammered is what wii does to ps3 and 360 weekly.

Hammered in terms of total console numbers. gap is 8.15 million or something and it is growing and growing all the time. 10 million gap in favour of X360 will be here by start of Fall 2009.

.3 x 24 = .72 + 8.16 = 8.88 - 10 = -1.12
