I would be looking into other platforms too if Star Ocean 4 from Square on 360 performed as badly against White Knight Chronicles from Level-5 saleswise as it did in Japan.

Only in Germany the game already sold 500k ON PC. So I guess that will be the first platform they will look for.

Exclusivity of Lost planet 2 is likely to be timed exclusive if MS have moneyhatted the game. Moneyhat is usually more money to developer than missing out on some extra game sales.  No momneyhat the game will be multi-platform and released at the same time - extra game sales maybe sell better on PS3 Capcom games sell better on PS3 and break the XBox 360 dominance in regards to most other games sales.

1. SFIV and RE5 have so far have sold a few thousand extra units is not much more. I woul say it is a tie between X360 and PS3 in regards to sales of those two games. 2. The sales of RE5 can well and truly favour X360 - only two days of RE5 sales have be recorded for Europe and NA.

Recently X360 has better  had attach rates regarding new game sales to new console sales.

it's a tie when the ps3 version outsells the 360 but if it's in favour of the 360 the ps3 "just got destroyed in sales" LOL

Only count those 2 territories, like people seem to enjoy doing lately.

PS3 RE5 - 0.56M
360 RE5 - 0.66M
PS3 SFIV - 0.62M
360 SFIV - 0.62M

360 has 28.38M consoles between the 2 territories.
PS3 has 18.23M consoles between the 2 territories.

PS3 has the higher attach ratio in regards to those 2 games.

Don't forget that not only is it a "tie", but while the 260 has 8M more consoles it also = higher attach rate for 360.

Congrats. We compared simultaneous releases and you bring in a comparison between a game and it's port which released 13 months later. -.-

A simultaneous release could very well tell a different story as proven by DMC4, SF4 and RE5.
