Exclusivity of Lost planet 2 is likely to be timed exclusive if MS have moneyhatted the game. 1. SFIV and RE5 have so far have sold a few thousand extra units is not much more. I woul say it is a tie between X360 and PS3 in regards to sales of those two games. 2. The sales of RE5 can well and truly favour X360 - only two days of RE5 sales have be recorded for Europe and NA.

Recently X360 has better  had attach rates regarding new game sales to new console sales.

Only a "few thousand" more? What is with yesterday and today? Japan just doesn't count anymore?

Surely it will come to PS3, whether or not it's a simultaneous release. If they want to make this their next big franchise - they're making a movie of it, after all - then they might as well put it on as many platforms as possible.

Yes it did.

PS3 DMC4 - 1.32M

360 DMC4 - 1.17M

It even outsold the 360 in Europe, even though the 360 launched at a lower pricetag.

The reason those BS excuses do not work is because we constantly hear Microsoft (including yesterdays PR statement) saying that PS2 users have migrated to the 360.

In others words... lame excuse.

So brand name(RE) and a completely different genre(a fighting game) will show the same trends as Lost Planet?
