I have a real problem with sites reviewing with the 10 point scale. If anything rates lower than a 6, that is a viewed as bad or below average. So the 1-5 is basically useless.

I actually prefer the show X-Play's reviews. They rate on a scale of 1-5 with no half points. I'm pretty sure that Bioshock, Metroid Prime 3 and Halo 3 will all get a 5 from X-Play. If everyone reviewed this way, the web wouldn't explode with anger every time their favorite game got .5 less than another game.

The only complaints that I feel are justified are of the reviews themselves, namely gamespots poor written review and other reviews that praise the game and insult at the same time.

After playing the first hour of this game, I can clearly say this game pales in comparison to Wario Ware. I would just like some honor. Try not defending their score because to anybody with half a brain, this game deserves better.

Nice job reading the thread before posting ck. For the 10th time, I don't have a problem with the score, it's just a very poorly written review, as was 1UP's and to a lesser extent Gamepro's. I don't care about scores. The actual content of the review is what I want to read, and the content of those reviews was complete shit, regardless of the good scores delivered. If you can't even make a single coherent review about a big game then stop reviewing games. Thei reasoning was unbelievably bad, and there were many valid reasons to dislike the review. If you actually read the thread you would know that, but you obviously decided you were above that.

I see what you are getting at Naznatips. If you read the Gamespot review is full of backhanded compliments. Anything positive in the review is followed up by an immediate negative. Not only that the reviewer contradicts himself several times in the review. I am awaiting the Halo 3 review because based on this reviewers criteria the game pretty much has a ceiling of 8.5.

I bet the highest halo 3 review you will find is in gamespot, even if the game some how scores an 8.5 elsewere gamespot will give it a 9.5 because its halo. They gave killzone the lowest score of any site, because they didint want it to compete or "cmompare" with halo.
