7-8 hours for a $60 game is really sad :(

I dont mind the short playthrough time. RE games have always been short after the the first run through. The thing that botters me if if this is the estimated time for the first run through, since usually its roughly 15 -20 hours for me to play a game through like RE the first time and than on the second or third i can usually complete the game in a fraction of time, but for a 7-8 hour estimed first run through is kinda a let down.

Broadstrokes, claiming the worth of a game is based only on its dollar per hour quotent is about as basically uninformed and incorrect as you get. Thinking.

I paid 60 dollars for CoD4. It had a 4 hour campaign. I never played it online, and it was one of the greatest gaming purchases of my life. Same for games like 10 hour Phoenix Wrights, 4 hour Elite Beat Agents, 6 hour Gears of War, or 3 hour Guitar Heros.

Harshly, ignorantly, and incorrectly judging books by their cover, simply because you don't care about them, one way or another, is very, very common, unfortunately. What I'm trying to get across to you here is that you are wrong in more than a few ways, with your last comment, and you should be ashamed of it, however you probably won't be, because things that other people also do, don't make us as ashamed as they should.

Are those games on the Wii?

Thats what happens you need to fit the game into 6GB DVD. It wouldnt be as bad though if they actually got the controls right. The DEMO was unplayable. Horrible controls. It looks nice, but plays pretty bad.

Translation: I am just disagreeing with you for the sake of disagreeing. I have no idea what you are disagreeing with. RE 3 is the worst in the series. Well, unless you count Gun Survivor and other spin offs as part of the series. Choose your standard: Metacritic, user reviews, fan opinions, number of remakes. RE 3 is the worst. That is the closest to fact that you will ever get (considering tastes are subjective). I would like to add that I did not say that my opinions are facts, but I will say that my opinions are worth more than yours especially when it comes to RE series. Get over it.

Your James Bond arguments are confusing. Why are you mixing stuff like different console generations? All I said is that aging better is not a good measure to game quality. Bad games may age better than great classics. That is why Goldeneye is better than any other 007 game. It was amazing and revolutionary when it came out, not more of the same generic crap.

Funny. Reading your OP and really thinking about your comments and others I have read suddenly make me feel overall better that it didn't come to Wii. Because RE4Wii Edition sounds like it blows it away AND I have the Wiimote to play it with. :)

Then pray for its success. If RE 5 underperform (hard to say for a title of this caliber, maybe less than 2 million combined sales) there will be a Wii version. With the RE4 engine, gray low poligon enemies, the same brain dead AI and more waggle than your mom asked for. RE 5 SD title screen version, CO-OP removed and fun new minigames like punch the zombie, herb mix and shoot the cans.

The co-op mode at least doubles the replayablility, so I don't even care about the length.
