Forums - Gaming - Skate 2... the best sports game of this generation...?

well, I've been playing skate 2 for a few hours and it looks awesome, the controlls are excellent (they're a little hard, but once you know them they're pretty cool), the graphics are good, the multiplayer modes are awesome, also the single-player mode is very good, because the challenges are tricky and worth-playing, for me it's better than every FIFA, NBA, Tony Hawk's, etc, of current-gen, what do you think about it...?

This generation?

I would have to say Pro Evolution 2009.

Of all time, it goes to Tony Hawk's Underground. I personally despise Skate. It requires too much skateboarding knowledge, and the camera is ridiculous. Tony Hawk's, on the other hand, is a nice arcade skating game requiring no skateboarding skill whatsoever.

I absolutely loved Skate 1. Definetly my favourite sports game this gen. Although the Skate 2 demo really sucked balls.

Wii Sports and Shaun White (Wii version) want a word with you.

And they're the only sports games I've played, so there may be others

What do you mean? You can change the camera settings so that it is further away from the skater.

I really like Skate 2 but it can get quite frustrating online IMO. As soon as it starts lagging the precise controls get just a lot too difficult I think. But the singleplayer challenges are really enjoyable and freeskating is fun as well since there is a big city full of interesting spots.

I just can't stand the controls of skate. Tony Hawk's Project 8 FTW !!!!!!!!!!
