Correct.

The first reviews are always the most positive ones, the ones that release later are lower and most definitely more accurate as they actually judge the game my merit and not hype. This is the case for websites though and not so gaming magazines, I hope this game is rated highly simply because the JPRG genre has gone down the shitter this gen. :(

This is flawed logic. it depends who gets the game first. And for e.g Game Informer gave KZ2 8.75. Imagine the uproar if that came out first.

It's a pity reviewers dont see it that way. They dont review for RPG fans. But I agree with you. Even 10 wasnt amazing. Some people praise but give me FF6,7,9 or even 2 over 10 any day.

Are you calling JRPG fans retarded? The "real" gaming sites are the only ones I trust for JRPG reviews, Famitsu live by moneyhats and hype but Dengeki are very good.

 Oh yeah forgot about that one. LOL. LO was a better game than FF12 and (at least for me) FF10. I hope FF13 excites the way previous games like FF6,7 and 9 did. FF games were brilliant when they were filled with wonder and old magical worlds.

I liked X, probably because of how awesome Kimari was but FFXII was the point where I almost completely gave up on the franchise. Since XI they have yet to make a FF that resembles anything close to what made it a good game and looking at S-E's other offerings lately (can't speak on SO4 yet) I can almost say for sure that this company has completely gone to shit.

I use normal sites fine for pretty much every other genre. But JRPG's are a taste which many reviewers in the mainstream dont have. I wouldnt use for instance IGN or Gamespot for JRPG reviews if someone paid me.

But specialist sites like RPGgamer and RPGfan are reviewed by people who live and breath RPG's. RPG's need to be reviewed by people who obsess with them. They arent scared to say which FF games for instance are plain crap. The mainstream are bombarded with FF this and FF that. Honestly there is so much more to RPG gaming than FF.

IMO after 12 attempts it goes like this.

FF6 = 10/10

FF7  FF2  FF9 = 9/10

FF8 = 8/10

FF1  FF3  FF10 = 7/10

FF4  FF12 = 6/10

FF 5 = 4/10

FF11 = 3/10.
