In the same magazine, Dragon Quest 5 scored a 7.5, second opinion 7.

Correct.

The first reviews are always the most positive ones, the ones that release later are lower and most definitely more accurate as they actually judge the game my merit and not hype. This is the case for websites though and not so gaming magazines, I hope this game is rated highly simply because the JPRG genre has gone down the shitter this gen. :(

LOL at the Selnor worriers. Any JRPG fan doesnt use reviews from normal sites.

Specialist sites like RPGfan are the sites I'll be listening to. Would you like to know why?

FF12 was a 6 at best for me. What do you think Game Informer gave it....

The difference is I know that I like Dragon Quest. I've never played a Star Ocean game before, however, so I'll go with the cheaper and safer choice.

Pure speculations.

The PS3 version of GTA 4 has 0 reviews with a 7 or 8.

The 360 version has 3 reviews with a 8. Out of 86 !

Now Killzone 2. Why do you think it got so many 10/10 at the beginning ? Because it was reviewed by PS magazines. Game Informer is an independant magazine.
