Ok, guys. I understand that there's likely a reason you would choose to work at a Playstation magazine--you like Playstation. There's nothing wrong with that. But to devote half of a remake's preview page to display just how much you hate that the original was only available on a rival's system? Come on.
The article I speak of is page 26 of the February 2009 issue, a preview of Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.
Here's approxmately the first third of the article:
"The only bigger insult than having a favored movie franchise turned into a mediocre videogame (for this is what usually happens) is having it turned into a great game... for a system you don't currently own, or can't quite justify purchasing: There it sits, just outreach on an alien console, looking cool and cheerily giving you the finger.
When Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay first made planetfall, you had two choices as a PlayStation gamer: You could quietly avail yoursel of another gaming platform, or you could suck a rock. It's enough to make a guy shave his head, adopt a gruff voice, and go out and extravagantly hurt somebody.
The next (some would say still greater) insult is The Port from the Ignominious Past: The (formerly exclusive) game in question finally arrives, dragged kicking and screaming, to your platform... a year later, laced with graphics and interface "quirks," plot-spoilered to hell and back, and--if you're really lucky--branded with the scarlet letters: Greatest Hits. Insert "Riddick-cule of your xbox-owning friends" crack here."

The actual stuff about the game is roughly the same length as that. What, the Playstation brand has never heard of an exclusive? Give me a break.
I stopped reading what was then OPM because I stopped being a Playstation supporter for a time, and I decided to give them another shot a couple days ago. They had their chance to win me back, and they failed, miserably.
