P.T.O IV ... because it was dumbed down, when i saw the series that had captivated me on the SNES was coming back to america i went out and bought a PS2 just for it.... it was a bust, you could no longer play politics to delay war, move fleets freely, or choose tech right down to what boots your troops were using, you dont have to resupply fleets or risk running out of fuel in the middle of the ocean if your supply convoy is destroyed. there was only one real flaw with P.T.O II .... i can not believe to this day how bad IV was

You can't be serious, whilst i can accept that you might have found Mario Sunshine boring [whilst i appear to be alone in thinking it was a great game] Earthbound will always be the greatest RPG ever with a battle system, pretty much like all the others.

Dissapointments... Smooth Moves was a bit lame, i was never really impressed by Super Mario 64 oddly.

I think I have to agree. Final Fantasy VII was a big disappointment in my eyes. It seems like Square gave up the idea of a deep, immersive storyline and used all that extra space for glitzy cinematics and backdrops. After following such titles like Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger, I would have expected better. And don't get me started on Final Fantasy VIII....

Er... you want to hear something interesting? There were 40 frames of animation for the Final Fantasy VI sprites, letting them perform varrying actions that conveyed their personalities extremely well. The Final Fantasy VII sprites don't even have mouths (neither do the FFVI ones but they would appear for animations like laughing). I shouldn't have to watch a cutscene just to see some emotion from the characters. I don't think you need nostalgia to prefer playing a well drawn 2D game over LEGO Final Fantasy thanks:

and that's not even counting the even BETTER looking Chrono Trigger

3D is great and all... if you have the technology to make it work. But, when I have to wait for cutscenes or combat just to see what my characters even LOOK like, there is a problem. Not to mention they looked completely ridiculous walking around on their 2D backgrounds, which didn't match their art styles (if you can call LEGO an art style) at all. Yes, I think FFVII looks like shit. I would have much rather them made it in 2D if that's what making it in 3D did. Not that 2D would bring back my Fantasy game... no it was already ruined when it had the stupid Sci-Fi concept in the first place. There were a lot of things wrong with that game. It's horrible visuals were just one of them.

 For the time, FFVII did some impressive stuff but it generally looked the crap (the cut scenes were great and the battles were good-- the rest looks bad).  If you asked a random person to look at a screenshot from FFVI and another from FFVII (not battle or cinemat) they would probably tell you that FFVI looks better and wonder why that one polygon was spikey hair and why they forgot to give the black one a hand.

I personally dont think FF7 looks bad

N64 couldn't do atleast 1,000,000 colors of the original PS

Edit: Every final fantasy fan shit their britches when they first layed eyes on FF7 for Playstation. It was the only reason I got a playstation back in the daay.

Superman: Returns I wanted this game to be good but it just fell flat on its face.  Im a huge DC fan and a big Superman fan and this game was pure crap.  I mean i was so pissed off at the last boss I mean it wassen't lex luthor, it wassent Metallo, it wassent Mongul, it was three damn tornado's.

I regret to this day for buying that game.
