I dislike the wiimote for only 2 games so far: Brawl and Fire Emblem. In both cases I use the gamecube controller. Those controller extensions I ebayed are a lifesaver......I don't need to sit so close to the TV.

The PS3 one you have to recharge I think. 360 and Wii use normal AA batteries, so you can either use rechargeable ones or disposable ones (which I wouldn't recommend).
Personally I use 4 rechargeable batteries and I usually have a pair of charged ones waiting for the other pair to run out.

I suppose I am in the minority. After a couple months of using the controller I was utterly sick of the entire ordeal. Having to chuck in new batteries every six hours. Having to be seated within a box. Having to fight the controller to get the actions I wanted, and more to the point for whatever reason I used the controller in reverse. Which inevitably meant I was going to end up smacking my hands together due to a convoluted control scheme.
I like to play for long stretches. I like to play in multiple positions. I like to not be exhausted after a play session, and I really dislike dealing with control issues. Which invariably happened thanks to the light bars finicky nature. So for me it was just a lot of frustration. In short bursts the controller is fine, but anything longer then an hour its just more like torture.
I know I will be slammed for this, but I am not the only one that feels this way. The controller can just be damned uncomfortable. Further it is no better then the other controllers. Perhaps it has a shallow learning curve, but it doesn't actually do anything more then other controllers. So I can easily opt out of the pain.

You can charge the 360 controller while you are playing with it. Cry, Soriku!! I want to see gallons of fresh salty tears streaming down your pitiful fanboy face!
... :P

No, I enjoy the Wiimote *and* nunchuck combo for all games. Except maybe Brawl, which is debatable
I hate it simply because it's useless and gimmicky most of the. The only thing it's good for is mini-games like Wii Sports and those type of games. I mean, I'm playing Symphonia 2 right now and it's like, "I gave up cool graphics and epic cut scenes just to point the sorcerer ring at stuff?"
Wii mote really doesn't have a place in deeper games because it's so flawed. It doesn't add to gaming, it replaces things... great things. Wii games will always have to sacrifice something effective because of it's controler, and you can never get deep gameplay out of it. It just isn't possible.

@Bolded A wii game can't have this?
@Post in General Some genres work well with the Wiimote and utilize it alot(FPS,Point & Click) while others not so much(traditional Jrpg) so I don't think it is deep vs shallow rather than genre that works well vs genre that doesn't work well
Wiimote/nunchuck works pretty nice for fps, shooters, and Mario Kart. I use it for a few VC games also.

yea same here for brawl. For me the reason i can't handle wiimote/numchuck is because i suck at the jumping by pushing up. I like to push a button to jump. And i like the quick smash by hitting the right stick in a direction (i know there is a way to do it with numchuck and wiimote but can't really figure it out) |
All you have to do is swing the Wii-mote in the direction of the smash. It's pretty intuitive.
And yeah, I use the Wii-Mote whenever possible, except for in Brawl. Why else would I have bought a Wii?
