I liked the demo.... but I don't have live for online and I though the IA was a bit too static ....

Yeah I played the demo earlier today, it wasn't really my cup of tea.

It didn't seem all that bad, though I just did the tutorial part.

It seemed to me that the combat was pretty decent for one player. I have no idea how multiplayer is though...

The rogue, I mean, scout class sucked.

My main impression is, with WoW, why play this?

"Let justice be done though the heavens fall." - Jim Garrison

"Ask not your horse, if ye should ride into battle" - myself

Dammit.

I'm SERIOUSLY disappointed. I love LOTR and this seemed to be shaping up into a great game, but alas...

I bought this day 1, returned it for full cash-back day 2. I have quite a few reasons.

No challenge - Within 6 hours of the game, I earned 740 achievement points. This includes the 15 headshot kills in a multiplayer match. That was the hardest one and it took me 2 matches.

Glitchy Gameplay - The game was riddled with glitches, several a minor inconvenience, others being game breaking. If I back stab someone and magically slide towards my death at the hands of another player because the game's code is designed to prevent clipping on objects during animations? Not my fault, the games.

Slow, Boring, and Repetitive Gameplay - While I was hoping for a Star Wars Battlefront experience, I was left wanting due to the repetitiveness of the game's missions. Often it was, capture point 1, Defend point 1, Rally to point 2, and repeat until boss shows up defeat boss and repeat next mission.

Exploitable Multiplayer - I often do this in the demo with my buddy, but for example. Being a troll, you can actually push allies forward. What does this mean exactly? Well, if a mage is using a shield, its balanced so that he moves slowly. But if a troll is pushing him? Well, obviously now the mage can't die to melee, and the troll can't die to range. Teamwork? Or broken game play?

Anyway, that's just a few reasons. This game deserves those rankings, I'm a big fan of lord of the rings and the Star Wars Battlefront series. But this game, as a representation of Lord of the Rings and Pandemic's development skill? Fails in every category. There's bigger bang for your buck here folks. Killzone 2 and Star Ocean 4 are just around the corner.

Why must JRPG female leads suck so bad?

some demos only show the best part of the game and thats make you think all the game is good.

Spot on, I despised the demo, and not just because I didn't like the gameplay, but because the LoTR part was so shallow and so far from the lore as it could be. Spies throwing grenades?! What the hell! I deleted the demo after playing the tutorial part, it was unbearable!

This threads making me angry...
