Amid the celebrations for the success of wii sports.

I feel it is my sole duty to remind everyone that we may be happy for Wii Sports....however our thoughts MUST also be with Pokemon Red/Blue as it is the ONLY non-bundled game to have such huge success.

Tetris was bundled, so was duck hunt, so was wii sports, so was smb1

however it is Pokemon Red/Blue that gained 30 Million + sales on the back of no bundles.

We salute you Nintendo & Pokemon

Nintendogs is slowly approaching, so is New Super Mario Bros!

That isn't the intention of this thread.

Wii Sports defined this generation and its success.....

but we mustn't forget to GIVE CREDIT where CREDIT is DUE & I still am amazed by pokemon red/blue sales.

But wasn't it Red/Blue/Gold.... and I certainly bought all 3 of them, and I am sure many others did

I know you are right, but it is very cool to say that Wii Sports has sold more than 40 million copies.

 1st gen: Red, Blue(Green). Then Yellow.

2nd gen: Gold, Silver. Then Crystal.

3rd gen: Ruby, Sapphire. Then Emerald. (I'm playing that now!)

4th gen: Diamond, Pearl. Then Platinum

it was Red/Blue.....gold came later.

but many didn't buy both....I am talking about 10 years ago when the sales of the game took place.

not used/bargain bin sales of the last few years
