 Umm well, for starters, 360 has 3 sku's versus mainly one for PS3 and Wii..so you cant really compare. Even when 360 was #5 and PS3 #4 last hour, 360 was probably ahead once in total hardware sales you add in Elite which was #12 and Core which was #113 (although Core doesn't contribute much).

 

Also, 5 of the top 10 is more than any other console (obviously, 5 spots left between PS3/Wii). I think 360 has more in the top 20 too. Especially since Wii is supposedly the hottest thing since sliced bread. Maybe it's not your definition of dominating but it's better than the other two. 

 The 80GB PS3 could be added to PS3 totals, but since it was only #239 it wouldn't add much.

 

BTW the premium is now #1! Not surprising, $329 including shipping is a darn good deal. Also Elite is #11.

Cool. It will be interesting to see how much the pricedrop boosts 360 sales world wide when next weeks data is posted. I also wonder how long its benefit will last (compared to the PS3's sales boost.).

If you don't care about getting the older model "Xbox 360 Console Includes 20GB Hard Drive" (quoted from amazon). Then this is the only place to do so, as it's the cheapest. It looks like they are blowing out the old model, so no hdmi and definite rrod possibilities.

what's crazy about halo it's to have a special edition in the top 10 but a version costing that much being 35..... the cost of a premium+that version= PS3 almost and it's still making that score... for me that's impresive

If you go over to EBgames.com , Halo3 Legendary is one of the highest selling things on their website for X360 games (the 3 Halo games usually take 3/5 places).

Upcoming weeks will be interesting. X360 started strong but I think amazon helped a bit to conquer top sellers list with lower price - $329. We will see how long X will keep the crown. I think this week belongs to X in USA... not WW though.
I would say:
PS3 - 30k (Others) + 18k (JP) + 32k (USA) = 80k WW
X360 - 18k (Others) + 3k (JP) + 50k (USA) = 71k WW
