Nope the sales were last year (approximately):

30% Arcade

55% Pro

15% Elite

No way the Arcade sells more than 40% this year. Take a look at SEGA Superstar Tennis. It's the only game that comes with the Arade, so you can compare those sales to Kung Fu Panda (which is bundled with Pros and Elites)

The Wii and DS number are amazing, everything else is good.

Exactly, read my post last page. Sony fanbots crying "z0mg price cut, don't worry we'll have next year etc" can't seem to grasp that the fastest selling 360 is the 60gig bundle in America. Only the Wii sells faster than that bundle. ONLY.

Now imagine next week and upcoming weeks, I expect, like many people, a 3:1 ratio for M$ before Christmas even comes.

Now imagine when all the bundles start hitting Europe (Gears2, CoD5, Lips, 007, TOmbRaider, and the others)..

Then imagine TLR bundle hitting Japan next week. If Sony fanbots want to whine and complain now, this is only the calm before the storm..

And I can't take the hypocrisy statements like "360 fanboys gloating but imagine if it was the other way around." A month ago, when PS3 outsold 360 in others by a few thousand, all I kept reading in that "others" thread was "PS3 takes back Europe confirmed, looks like Europe back to normal sorry MS, etc."

When Japan got the new PS3 sku and bundle last week (which is the only reason sales spiked there for PS3), people are acting like it's because of demand there and not because of the bundle. Now when people ae commenting on the 2:1 ratio 360 has over PS3 in America, it's an issue? Ironic.

higher 360 sales were expected due to pricing, but its still early days 360 only been on for 3 years and ps3 2 years.

all sony needs to do is track well for the remeainder of this period, going into 2009 with the better games, a major price cut like what happend early this year will work wonders.

come on sony give us a £249 or a £239 ps3, and make a base model without wifi for £199

Well, here's a graph from Sqrl's HYPE thread. It's Sony's 2007 & 2008 holiday sales compared.



As you can see for week 3, PS3 is selling less in NA than it was last year. However, we're seeing an increase in sales when it comes to Europe/Others. Still, Japan sales are falling behind as well, and because of that, PS3 is seeing a YoY decrease so far.

In fact, 360 is also down when it comes to NA sales. Still, thanks to Others and Japan sales, the console is seeing YoY growth.



I understand that this thread is not a 2007 v 2008 one, but it's something to keep in mind when it comes to NA sales.
