Oh...so is the Xbox 360 the most expensive console on the market? Is the Xbox 360 the most powerful console on the market? Did the Xbox 360 have to wait a year before the competition to launch? Did the Xbox 360 not gather a load of exclusives? Please. All of those questions are examples of how similar the PS3's run was to the original Xbox. The 360's run this gen is nowhere in comparison to the last Xbox. You need to get your eyes Checked. In fact I would dare say the Xbox 360's run this gen is a carbon copy of the PS2's run.

Wii-Gamecube (Because no matter what Nintendo does they just don't attract the same crowd these days. They always stand alone)

Last Gen:

PS2 was released before the Xbox.

PS2 Had the exclusives.

PS2 being first on the market gave the Devs a favorite, easier, system to work on, so Ports went to Xbox.

Xbox was a more powerful system in some aspects.

Xbox had more bang for your buck, Hard drive, built in Ethernet and such.

Xbox games were in HD not the 480p games but the 720p and 1080i games, It was the first HD system.

I think that's a fair comparison between last gen and this gen.

 


Developers hated the PS2's architecture. Developers loved the original Xbox because it was just a PC in a box so it was easy to code for.

This.. just that the numbers will be much higher and the Gamecube wont make a profit this time around :P

Since the PS3 and the 360 share the vast majority of 3rd party titles, neither one of them is "this gen´s PS2".

Since when does 360 have the exclusives?

I can name a few like Halo, Fable, Mass Effect, Forza, Gears of War, umm...Banjo Kazooie 3? I'm stuck now. I guess you could throw in GTA DLC also.

Sony I can easily name Resistance, Ratchet, Gran Turismo, God of War, Uncharted, InFamous, Killzone, Jak and Daxter, SOCOM, MAG, MLB The Show, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid, and more.

Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Sigma cancel each other out.


I agree with PS3 more powerful, but 360 out first and easier to develop for though.

i know what u mean but lets not forget the wii is killing, the 360 and ps3 are doing better then the xbox was and no where near as good as the ps2...

PS3 games are on Blu-Ray, it's the first Blu-Ray HD system.

 

 

I think that's a fair comparison between last gen and this gen.  It's still a fair comparison

 

Just needs some slight editing... I think that's a bit more closer to reality
