Forums - Sony - Sony's first (and second) party developers are finally hitting their stride

2009 is really looking good for PS3, it is the reason I had to get a rental subscription so that I would not miss out on any games. GT5 though will be a purchase as will Killzone 2, just wont be able to live with myself knowing the game are out yet am still waiting for the rental. GOW 3, WKC, Heavy Rain will all be good but those are rentals, nothing wow about those games and not a huge fan of the GOW franchise.

Oh yeah and FFXIII, this is when knowing Japanese comes in handy :D

the rumor I heard was they were being closed down....maybe the success of Warhawk made that not happen

Yeh that was the one. I really hope that they make a second one

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Nice to see Sony's investment into 1st party studios start to pay off. So many games I want to get and that's not counting 3rd party games.

This looks almost like a Nintendo this gen. Both in quality and in quantity. Well, godspeed, Sony!

its weird how sony seems to be getting great 1st party just as nintendo gets great third party.

so far wii third party and PS3 first party seem to be equally matched.

of cours eid prefer to look at first party vs first party but the only internal title weve got from nintendo is wii sport resort. we do have about 10 second part ( S&P2, dynamic slash, punch out ect). its going to be an interesting battle

Wii's third party support has not developed in the same way. The big publishers are still focusing their attention on the PS360 in a big way

of course most are still publishing on other formats  but  third party on wii looks wayy better than the last 2 years. sega, capcom, marvellous, namco, all have multiple big budget titles for the wii. third party for wii has definately taken a huge step up

Oh man, great thread, thanks MM. I'm shocked, 2 pages and no trolling, this is the best thread ever. Anyways, those games are awesome, and that's just 1st and 2nd party, add to that all of the other third party games (although multi-plat) and the PS3 is gonna show why it raped in the last 2 generations. Everybody knows that PS3 is not winning this gen, but hell, they'll go down swinging.

Sony won't win this gen, but with games like this its going to finish a strong second
