Emphasis in this part is on "GAVE" and "WAS GETTING"
The architecture of the PS3 is different, we all know that already. They encountered something that they didn't have an issue with on the Xbox, and had to do it another way. The past tense indicates that they are past that now, and therefore it is nothing to worry about anymore.
I'd be more worried if they stated that development was halted because they couldn't find a way to fix this. They just are different in architecture, needing different approaches... easy as that.
