You are correct it was 10k but it was still a 360 victory I have been reading posts for the past three weeks stating the 360 would never again beat the PS3 in sales and it beat it on a month BEFORE the price cuts, that could be omnious sign for Sony which clearly had the momentum

You have to realize the margin of error on the NPD and VGC's part is well within given range to say that they could have easily sold the same amount of consoles, the PS3 sold more then the 360, the 360 really did outsell the PS3. Given the margin of error just saying they sold evenly in the US means that there is no clear winner of the month between the two consoles. If the gap was more like 50k than we could easily say that the 360 won hands down but we cannot.
Also you should know price cuts only effect sales for a week or two then it balances out to maybe 15k more then previously balanced weeks.
In the end though, you have to remember that the PS3's strongest market is not the America. It is the EU. Japan is also a decent help for the PS3.
