Dodging left right, forward, backward, etc in a rail shooter would be gold though...that's all I want now.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

It's only a matter of time when someone makes a video with the NumaNuma kid and Wiiboard.

Seriously though, This opens new gameplay methods everywere. Surf, Skate, Snowboard, you name it. It could be used even in an arcade fashion like Time Crisis to stand behind obstacles in FPS. Or even to use in a new Waverace game.

I don't know, it doesn't seem so innovative as the Wiimote.

Plus, Wiimote is not something Sony or Microsoft can easily copy, this pressure board thingy is. Then again, so is EyeToy and stuff.

Wii does have a first mover advantage... plus its mass market appeal, and the all-important user base.

How are they gonna market and sell this pressure board? They had better bundle it with a bunch of Wii's to ensure a sturdy installer base. You need that to ensure games developed that combine wiiboard with wii mote...

the Wii is an epidemic.

Hell just strafing in a a FPS or a snowboarding game and it can be used with the Wiimote. However it is a peripheral and periphrals rarely get games for tehm I think the Wii may be showing an exception since it seems to eb built around it with a modular controller.

The initial WiiFit is not something that has a large appeal to me, particularly because there was too much stretching and yoga.  But then I got to thinking of what else they could do.  They could make a HUGE line of WiiFit games for everyone's tastes.  I particularly would like something with more intense aerobics [if the board can handle something like running or heavy stepping] and also more strength workouts.  They had some push up stuff shown, but probably not enough to warrant a buy from me.  I have my doubts, but there is a real chance this thing could take off and lead to a whole successful line.  If that happens it could be a huge line between Nintendo in broad gaming and MS and Sony in hardcore gaming/entertainment suite.

The WiiBoard is a great idea and It makes me wonder why Microsoft can't come up with ideas like that. Hopefully it gets some skateboarding, surfing, and other games that use it. Wii fit will be huge since things dealing with weightloss are big sellers but it'll be interesting to see how the game itself does in the long term and if it keeps people's interest and actually helps them to become fit.

Stange that so far and very likely for all of E3 that the board is the thing that caught my attention the most, it might be truly revolutionary and stands the chance of profoundly influencing future hardware and game design just like the Wii Remote.

also we don't actually know if they can use a wiimote and the wiiboard at the same time, though I don't see a reason why not right now.

So, this is the generation when Nintendo tries to prove that add-on
devices can succeed?

It seems the mods need help with this forum.  I have zero tolerance for trolling, platform criticism (Rule 4), and poster bad-mouthing (Rule 3.4) and you will be reported.

It most likely isn't sensitive enough, but what about racing pedals? You already have the remote for the weel.

Reality has a Nintendo bias.

@KruzeS,
racing pedals could easily work, plus it would be a lot easier to right from the couch.
